COVID-19-related guidelines approved for use during the 2020 season

It's almost time to get Back to the Ballpark!

We are pleased to share our Back to the Ballpark Guidelines which will allow our leagues to begin play as early as the week of May 18th (pending the approval of local government/park & rec departments, of course). These guidelines should be shared with all leagues, teams, JO Coaches/parents, P&R departments with the expectation that it's everyone’s responsibility to keep us all safe playing the game of softball. There are still some obstacles ahead before play resumes - umpires will need to go through their rule clinics & training and leagues will have to prepare new game & umpire schedules, for example - but we are close to getting back on the fields. Consult with your local league administrators and league representative for more details.

We look forward to sharing more information throughout the next week including details on which invitational tournaments coming up on the schedule will proceed as planned. McQuades will make an annoucement regarding their event on Tuesday, May 19th. The Monsta Tournament Series will return, though adjustments will need to be made due to the loss of so many tournaments. We anticipate having a Series update later in the week.

Thank you once again for your patience during this process and to all those who have and will continue to work hard to make this season a reality. With your cooperation and commitment to remaining North Dakota Smart, we will be able to do what some other associations will not have the pleasure of doing this summer - playing this great game of softball.

Thank you, take care, and Play Ball!
